OK, so another thing... one of our new Chef's has been ousted from his employee housing at one of the local camps. This was expected, but it happened quicker than anyone expected. This guy is amazing, really responsible, and is looking for an affordable 2bdr rental in the area (from Springs to Twin Peaks, but local to Blue Jay would be best). He'd prefer a house, but a condo isn't out of the question.
Since we have so many great realtor friends we thought we'd put this out there. Please message us if you've got one or know of one that's not lake-side expensive. Agents, I'm sure that Allan wouldn't mind letting you rep it if you've got one that works.

Hi, All! We're looking for a little help... We just installed these really cool blackboards on the front of our restaurant and we're hoping to find a seriously creative artist to help us keep them fresh. If you know anyone that fits that bill and wants to make a little part-time scratch we would love to hear from you/them.
This might be perfect for a student or anyone with skills and a little free time. We're looking at probably 5-10 hours/week.

Everyone local, listen up... we're doing these new breakfast things that you've never had and which sound odd and exotic. Kolaches. You've seen them talked about here. Now it's time to come in and try one. Seriously.
We're going to make it easy. Tomorrow morning, from 730 - 1030, for as long as they last, we're going to give them away for free. Yes, that's right, we're just like that guy your counselor warned you about in high school: your first one is free.
Kolaches are awesome grub and we really want these to be the hit that they deserve to be. Come see why, on us. Oh, we'll have great coffee too so, you know, more goodies to entice you.

We were just thinking about our friends at Sweets 'N Stuff, over on the highway across from Lake Arrowhead Village. Chris and Nickie are the ones that are making our kolaches for us, as well as providing the base for a number of our desserts. If you happen to be that way and in need of maybe the best bagel this side of New York City, or maybe just a great piiece of home made candy, you should totally stop in and see them. They're great people making great stuff!

Why will tomorrow be a great day? Kolaches, that's why. Starting tomorrow, we'll be offering our new, amazing grab-n-go breakfast. If you're one of the lucky ones that got to sample these last week, they're finally here... if you've never heard of a kolache, don't be afraid. They are DELICIOUS. Slightly sweet soft rolls, filled with goodness. From a simple smoked sausage to brisket, egg, queso fresco and mole.
Grab a fat kolache and a coffee for the drive down the hill... we're shooting for right at 7:30am, so please come see us! Limited quantities while we kick this off, so come early.

So, we're considering hosting a weekly 'Game of Thrones' viewing party for the HBO-deprived. Admission would, of course, be free (can't charge for tickets to someone else's party, after all) and we'd serve up great food and drink in the meantime.
Obviously, we have a limited amount of space in the area with the big screen, but we're wondering what the interest might be? Anyone interested?

The boat rocks, my bobber still

Samantha Allen-Newman Extremely well written. It very clearly conveys an image to the reader, many of whom have had similar experiences (if not identical) to the ones described in the poem. I was easily able to identify with this poem. If I had to give it a grade, I would give an A for artistic expression, an A+ for written prose and an A+ for use of verbs and adjectives. EXCELLENT JOB!
