ok... so i have a request... a friend of mine used to make an OMGoodness tamale.... sweet corn masa ( with whole kernels in it) with a green chili (think relleno) stuffed with pepper jack cheese! she's no longer with us and i never learned to make them... can you? :-)

OK, so a quick word on our specials for today... we definitely have all of the drum circle stuff that we normally do-- the cheap drinks, delicious food, etc-- but we also have just a couple of our Mother's Day Surf and Turf specials left. We start with a poblano-infused masa pancake, top it with medallions of seared cumin-dusted filet and two seared sea scallops. The whole thing is sauced with a fresh morel mushroom sauce and drizzled with roasted tomato oil. Some roasted tomatoes on the side for just a hint of acid. Truly a Texifornia masterpiece.
Texifornia Tamales Also, Micki would have a justifiable conniption fit if we didn't mention here Berry Mimosa dessert tamale. Champagne soaked blueberries, strawberries and oranges wrapped in a mimosa masa, decked out with two hand-made cremas and a drizzle of 18 year-old Basalmic. Another sweet & tempting Mickilicious creation!

Texifornia Tamales Hi, Kathi... well, we have all of those things, plus we're working on a special Texifornia Tamale Surf & Turf involving a fresh gordita tortilla infused with poblano peppers, topped with a medallion of cumin dusted filet (or NY Strip, we're not yet sure) and a seared sea scallop, all topped with a fresh black morel mushroom sauce.
Oh, and a drum circle with lots of food specials kicking-off sometime after 4pm. Mother's Day Drum Circle... now that's cookin'!
